Fired Up: Decorating a Fireplace with Fireplace Screen and Koi Print Artwork Debut

Fired Up: Decorating our Fireplace with a Fireplace Screen and Koi Print Artwork Debut

I love our single panel circles fire screen in front of the living room fireplace- it brings in just the right amount of pizazz (if your wanting to add some umph! to your fireplace I can order one for you too!) These vintage stools were scooped up at an antique store; I had them reupholstered in a peridot velvet I had originally purchased for a tufted wall banquette -  I also had my upholsterer add nail head trim.  The fireplace area is complete with a striped Designers Guild throw (in gray, peridot and cream) and growing stacks of coffee table books - thanks to Mr.Z, family & friends!

I had these chairs re-styled, re-upholstered and then added fabulous fringe – the perfectly sized small tray table is a gold vintage mirrored bamboo tray table I picked up at an antique mall. The shimmering peacock blue drapes are store bought, off the shelf from Pier One – after a REALLY good ironing (perhaps some steaming too!) and the addition of long fabulous bullion fringe they were perfect – not to mention look like a million bucks!

Here is Bo "helping" me add the fringe to the chairs!

I fell head over heels for these oversized (42 L x 33 W each) framed Koi Prints, I mean aren’t they the perfect coloring for the room - peacock & peridot (I can order these for you as well!)
